Pricing Engine for a Minicab Operator
One engine pricing every journey, from postcode runs to airport transfers, across web, phone and driver app.
All workFares came from a mix of printed tariff cards, a spreadsheet and what the controller remembered, so two customers could be quoted different prices for the same journey.
We built a pricing engine that combines distance and duration, zone and airport rules, vehicle class, time of day, waiting time, meet-and-greet and account rates into one consistent quote. The website, the call centre and the driver app all call the same engine, so the price is the same wherever it is asked for.
